When it comes to the end of a long day of work or exploring Baltimore’s many great tourist attractions, Happy Hour at a friendly local pub can be a perfect way to relax over drinks and appetizers while people watching or enjoying the night’s entertainers. Here are a few places where you just might want to become a regular (if you live here) or write home about (if you’re a visitor).
Maisy’s, 313 N Charles St — There are two happy hours on weekdays–4 pm to 7 pm and 11 pm to 2 am–when all wines are $5 a glass and some drafts are $3. There are great deals on pizza and wings, too.
Mahaffey’s Pub, 2706 Dillon Street — Happy Hour every day from open (5 pm Monday-Thursday, noon Friday-Saturday, 3 pm Sundays or noon during football season) to 7 pm! Three 10-ounce beers are $6. Mondays it’s three-for-$6 all night long, plus $1-$3 sliders. Tuesdays it’s $2 beef or chicken tacos and $3 fish tacos. On Wednesdays the feature is 50-cent wings. Thursdays, try one of the $6 burgers or chicken sandwiches.
Papi’s Taco Joint, Broadway Market, Fells Point — Enjoy “Papi Hour” 4 pm to 7 pm Monday-Friday, with great specials on drinks and food. $3 draft beers and Corralejo Blanco shots; $3 hot tamales with salsa; $4 margaritas and sangria; $4 platanos, queso fundido, tostados and pozole
Blue Agave, 1032 Light St — Happy Hour is every day from 3 pm to 7 pm, with $5 house margaritas, $4 sangrias, $3 Mexican beers and $2 domestics, plus $1.75 tacos.
Jimmy’s Famous Seafood, 6526 Holabird Ave — The crab cakes are arguably the best in town, and you can wash them down with daily bar specials 3 pm to 7 pm.
