The state-of –the-art Benjamin Banneker Planetarium in the Mathematics and Science Hall at CCBC Catonsville offers free Friday and Saturday astronomy programs throughout February.
First up is the special Feb. 17 evening event, “Eclipses and Solar Cycles,” at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., which includes the CCBC debut of the award-winning, full-dome film, “Solar Superstorms.”
On Saturday morning, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m. take the kids to the children’s program, “Ancient Legends,” which explains astronomical legends of Greek Mythology and Natives Americans.
All shows are free of charge and no reservations or tickets are required. Shows begin promptly at 8:00 P.M on Fridays and at 10:00 A.M. on Saturdays in Room 030A (Benjamin Banneker Planetarium) located in the Mathematics and Science Hall building on the Catonsville Campus.
