Baltimore on the Cheap is written and edited by Laura Fick. Laura has been looking for deals since she first felt the thrill of savings after haggling someone down at a neighborhood yard sale at the tender age of five. Born and bred in Baltimore, she comes from a long line of coupon clippers, bargain hunters and frugalistas. Formally an award-winning small business reporter at the Daily Record, Laura is currently with one of Baltimore’s largest advertising and public relations agencies, which works with many of the region’s most prominent companies, organizations and institutions (disclosure: including the National Aquarium). She is the mother of two young, precocious children, who are always looking to experience all that Baltimore has to offer – on the cheap, of course.
