Happy Spring! Baltimore is a great city for families, and many attractions are within a short walk of each other. From spring to fall there are lots of outdoor activities, but even in the chilly months there are fun ways to beat “cabin fever.” Here are a few. Of course, you might want to save a ride on the Harbour Connector or a visit to the USS Constitution for one of the warm, sunny days!
2–Take children on a ride on the free Harbour Connector, which docks at five prime locations on the Baltimore waterfront.
3–Kids learn about plants at the Howard P. Rawlings Conservatory and Botanic Gardens during “Plants & People Sundays.”
4–Little ones can climb, crawl, jump and explore at Port Discovery children’s museum. After 4 p.m. it’s only $2.
5–Kids of all ages enjoy experiencing life in the 19th century and learn the story of the flag at the Star Spangled Banner Flag House.
6–What kid wouldn’t want to become a “Powder Monkey“ on the USS Constellation?
7–Young baseball fans will delight in a visit to the birthplace of Babe Ruth.
